To all admin staff, clinicians, patients, volunteers, and community partners,

As we enter the New Year, I wanted to say that it has been an honor serving as the Executive Director for Community Wellness Collaborative since I founded the organization in 2005.  My passion for coordinating events and providing access to holistic and integrative wellness services for under-served populations has helped us to bring over 30,000 free services to community members in need. However, for several years I’ve been too inundated with the daily operations of our Adams Avenue Integrative Health facility to be able to focus on the community building and outreach that sparked my passion to create this organization in the first place.  I became stagnant, and any acupuncturist can tell you that stagnant qi just gets in the way of a functional and efficient system.

So it is my pleasure to announce that as of January 1st, 2023, I have been replaced, and our Clinic Manager, Monique Tillman has taken over as our Interim Executive Director for Community Wellness Collaborative.  As the Founder, I will still be a Board Member and an officer of the organization, leading our Outreach Programs and Free clinics; and I will still be a part-time acupuncturist at Adams Ave and an advisor for Monique through the next few months of transition, but I will be stepping away from my “Executive Director” title and staff position to explore other opportunities in the New Year.

You’ll still see me around, but please do all you can to help Monique feel welcome as the future of this organization and support her vision for systemic overhauls, efficiency upgrades, and streamlining our operations.  It is only with an outstanding leader like Monique at the helm that I finally feel confident enough in the organization’s future to step away in the first place.  I am excited for her vision and look forward to seeing it implemented over the next several years.

I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this vision and supporting a team that has made a difference in the community.  Looking forward to future collaborations for Community Wellness from wherever I end up next.
