To all our Adams Ave patients,

After 18 years on Adams Ave, it is with a heavy heart that I share our decision to end clinical operations at Community Wellness on Adams Ave as of Friday, April 24th. Since COVID, we’ve struggled to keep our clinic afloat, but with the crippling effects of our current economy, and the sale of our building driving up rent cost while taking half of our clinic footprint, it is simply untenable in its current form. We considered ways to transition to a new model, but with the recent announcements of Dr Dave, Carly, and myself all planning our departures this month and moving in new directions, there seems little hope for success of the continuing operations for our Adams Avenue storefront.

Community Wellness Collaborative, as an organization will continue, and carry on our outreach programs, including our “Integrative Health Nights“, through grants and donation support, while we still can. Your tax-deductible donations would still be extremely grateful and useful in keeping this program intact.

For continuity of services after April 24th, we recommend:

1) Visiting our current team members in their private practices. Several are still in the process of working out where those will be. Please reach out to each individually or our front desk team to inquire further. If you give written consent, we can transfer your records to their independent practices.

2) Insurance acupuncture patients should contact your carrier to see who else in the area takes your particular plan.

3) Pacific College of Health Science has a student clinic for Acupuncture and Massage:

4) Bastyr University has a student clinic for Naturopathic Medicine and Nutrition – both in-person and telehealth sessions:

5) Our free weekly Integrative Health Nights are still operating on Wednesdays from 1-5p at a church 4 blocks away. Lottery signups are at 12:30p and services are 1st come, 1st served after that.

Medical records will be kept through your Janeapp patient portal and accessible to each of you to download by request.

You are all invited to our final celebration for our Community and team at Adams Ave Unplugged, Sat Apr 25th 1 – 7p with many of our favorite local musicians making an appearance.

With over 120k low cost services provided and more than 35k free for community members in need, I’m so grateful to all of you for everything we’ve been able to accomplish together.
