Dr. Altman is the Founder and Board President of Community Wellness Collaborative (formerly Alternative Healing Network), a 501(c)(3) non-profit that promotes the use of integrative healing to the public and improves access to holistic care. A graduate of Pacific College of Health Science, Ryan built CWC around his desire to give back to the San Diego community and make healing available to everyone.

With 15+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Amanda brings expertise in fund development, strategic planning, and team management to the board. Amanda currently acts as the VP and Chief Program Officer for the San Diego Hunger Coalition, while her past work focused on leadership development, community organizing, and civic engagement to advance public health.  Amanda received a BA from Lake Forest College and a Masters in Public Health at UIC, followed by a two-year Population Health Fellowship with the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. She then spent two years in Central America, supporting community-driven initiatives to strengthen local economies, including the launch of a natural medicine collaborative. As a long-time patient of CWC, Amanda has experienced firsthand the healing power of CWC’s integrative approach to care and is committed to helping more San Diegans benefit from the organization’s services.

Jen is a nationally recognized consultant and trainer of staff, supervisors, and managers.  She is honored to serve as the CEO of the Institute for Mastering Success, where she helps motivate professionals at all levels to do their work well and collaborate effectively with others. Jen has a long past and deep passion for making a difference in her community: she co-founded and led the Consultant Allies professional association, co-founded The Heights Charter school, and founded CAB Foundation at UC Santa Barbara. She is active in the community and holds roles as Treasurer of the Board of San Diego Social Venture Partners, Treasurer for Alternative Healing Network, and leader of her daughter and niece’s Girl Scout troop.

Dr. Dave is a 1997 honors graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis. His background in engineering prepared him well for his systematic, yet highly creative approach to working with the human body. His extensive study of Applied Kinesiology gives him an excellent knowledge of the muscular system and how it relates to not only the skeleton, but also to the organs and the energy meridians of the body. Through his use of kinesiology, or “muscle testing,” he discovers the hidden causes of dis-ease in his patients.

Christy has more than 18 years’ experience in healthcare and higher education, including serving as former Chief Operating Officer of Community Wellness Collaborative (formerly Alternative Healing Network) from 2010-2014. Recognized for her ability to develop person-centered, efficient, profitable operational models, Christy focuses on maximizing the use of technology to improve client relationships and business outcomes.

Dr. Ellen Kaye Gehrke, PhD

Board Member

Dr. Gehrke is a professor of leadership and health sciences at National University School of Health and Human Services. She is the Director of the Master’s Program in Complementary and Integrative Healthcare. She is also known for her work in demonstrating the healing power of horses for children with autism and current research on veterans dealing with symptoms of PTSD. She lives on a small horse ranch in Ramona, where she offers coaching and equine programs with her horses and mule.

Member credits are valid for one year after issue and roll over month to month, until expiration. Memberships require 6-month commitments and then become month-to-month agreements. After the initial six-month contract period, you can cancel your membership anytime with a 7-day notice before the next billing cycle.
You are welcome to place a membership on hold for up to 2 months at a time; please note you cannot use credits on your account while it is on hold.
Although the standard membership is only valid for one adult and credits cannot be transferred, children under 12 may use their parent/guardian’s membership credits.

Family Memberships are available!

You can also upgrade an individual membership to a family membership. Add any household member and receive an additional 2 credits a month, with a total of 5 credits to share between the two of you. 

Each new person you add to your account results in 2 more credits to your account and costs an additional $125/month each.

Members may upgrade Clinical Massage Therapy “half sessions” to a Full or Plus session using multiple credits or by paying an upgrade of $25 per 30 min upgrade. Massage Only Membership is also available.
